As soon as the bank to whom we've pledged to ... well, pledge ... our souls decided to accept said souls, ticks the ticked boxes and crosses the other boxes, we shall have our bush block!
It's currently called Foxton. It's a nice name but, redolent as it currently is of vast multitudes of foxes, I suspect we'll be changing it to something more indicative of the life we wish to live.
Foxton is currently pictured here. It's a 47ha bush block 10mins out from the fabulous little town of Tarago, and it's everything th'Bloke and I have been looking for in a property. Proper house, good water (three dams, one bore, lots of rainwater tanks). mostly bush, on a bit of a hill to get the breeze, and so on.
From the perspective of my bush tucker obsession, however, this is what caught my eye early:
Assuming the images all worked, that's the extensive, well-established native garden. Into which all I'll have to do is plant my existing potted plants and all should be well.
I'm still pinching myself and won't really believe it's all happening until the moment I can dig the earth over ...

Lucky for me to discover your blog. I would immediately tell my mom about it.
