I could, but that involves even more wiring than we've currently got planned. I'm sort of relying on the chooks' ability to frighten the cat - despite being rather plump, she's still only a little cat - into good behaviour around them.

I may be just a tad optomistic on this part, however :)

You could always do a cat tunnel up one side, leading to a cat-only bit at the back/front/where-ever. That way, both can see each other, but not be attacked. Chooks have a mean left punch, too, y'know.
